The Washington Women’s Business Center, hosted by Business Impact NW sent out the invitation to women-owned small businesses from our community for its inaugural showcase, ‘Celebrating Dreams, Celebrating Success. The idea was to create a networking space in which local women entrepreneurs and established businesses could comingle with investors and community mentors to celebrate the growth and diversification of our economy as women-owned businesses continue to grow in number and prosperity.
Set at The Factory Luxe, a historic venue adjacent to the Rainier Brewing Company, guests were provided with networking passports, and asked to choose a designation for their name-tag, established mentor, or new to business. Once inside, attendees bid on silent auction items and made introductions over sleek black bistro tables. The venue was warmed by enticing aromas from four of the Celebrating Dreams Celebrating Success showcases who provided a rich array of appetizers and an evolving menu of bites throughout the evening.
With Kendall’s DJ and Events spinning tracks, guests and investors were given the opportunity to browse our display of 37 women-owned businesses, before meeting the business owners themselves to talk shop. The evening concluded with a raffle drawing as winning bids for auction items were announced, as well as a video of inspirational stories from the women who are keeping our local economy strong.
The Washington Women’s Business Center offers a myriad of events and training seminars as well as personalized business coaching to clients throughout their business planning and continued growth. The WBC would like to thank all of our wonderful sponsors, our vibrant showcases and the attendees and investors that made this evening unforgettable. We are looking forward to next year!
