On May 30, 2019 the Washington Women’s Business Center hosted their fourth-annual Celebrating Dreams, a night elevating female entrepreneurship presented by Verity Credit Union. Every year Celebrating Dreams empowers women to follow their entrepreneurial dreams while providing a platform to local entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses to new audiences and connect with mentors, community partners, resources and leaders in the field.
“In order for women business owners to be successful, not only do they need access to resources like business coaching, mentorship and financing, they also need community,” stated Washington Women Business Center Program Director, Susan Perreault. “Celebrating Dreams is just that, an evening celebrating the dreams of our local female entrepreneurs. It’s an event we look forward to all year.” Celebrating Dreams was attended by 300 guests including 50 small business owners, with highlights including hors d’oeuvres from Madres Kitchen, a surprise feature cocktail, networking and a silent auction with products and services provided by featured local women-owned businesses.
The event raised over $30,000 dollars for the Washington Women’s Business Center providing training and financing opportunities to all those who receive services through the center.
