State Business License or Registration Requirements by State

Alaska

• All businesses apply for AK State business license- Business Licensing, Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing (alaska.gov).
• Corporations/LLC: Register your corporation/entity with the State of Alaska Corporations Section.

Idaho

Idaho does not have a state business license.

• All businesses except sole proprietors who use their full name as the business name need to register a name and entity type with the Idaho Secretary of State: Online Business Services | Idaho Secretary of State.
• Sole proprietorships and partnerships file an Assumed Business Name, also called a DBA.

Oregon

Oregon does not issue general business licenses.

• All businesses register with the Oregon Secretary of State: State of Oregon: Business - Register a Business.

Washington

All Businesses apply for WA State business license - Department of Revenue: Business Licenses.

• Corporation/LLC: Register your business and file your formation papers with the WA Secretary of State.
