Recruitment, Retention and Development: Building Teams That Stay

November 10 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

FreeMore Information / Register

Finding good people is hard. Keeping them is harder. This session walks owners and managers of family run farms, food manufacturers, and small agricultural businesses through the full arc of building a strong team, from attracting the right candidates to keeping them engaged and helping them grow. Participants will explore practical approaches to writing job postings that draw the right people, hiring for seasonal and year round roles, onboarding in a way that sets new hires up to succeed, and creating development paths so your best people can see a future with you instead of looking elsewhere. Drawing on more than twenty years of talent acquisition and HR experience in manufacturing and production environments, this interactive session will help participants pinpoint where their people practices are working, where they’re losing talent, and what to do next.

Presenter:
Marcia Torres is the founder and Principal Consultant of Imagen Talent Solutions, a Portland based consultancy providing fractional talent acquisition and HR support to growing businesses. She spent much of her career recruiting and building teams in manufacturing and production settings, including beverage manufacturing at Anheuser-Busch InBev and coffee production at Farmer Brothers, so she knows firsthand what it takes to staff environments where the work is physical, the schedules are real, and turnover hurts. Marcia is a SHRM certified professional, a certified Insights Discovery Practitioner, and serves on the Oregon State University Alumni Association Board of Directors.

This training will be presented in-person at: 301 A Stret West, Vale, OR 97918
