Business Impact NW Welcomes Three New Board Members

Business Impact NW is excited to welcome Julie Lind, Derek Brosemann, and Tina Narron to our Board of Directors.

Each brings extensive experience in lending, financial services, and small business support. Each one has a connection to the work Business Impact NW does every day with entrepreneurs across Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.

Meet the Newest Members of Our Board

Julie Lind, Treasurer

Julie Lind joins Business Impact NW’s Board of Directors as Treasurer following Paul Kirkbride’s service. Her appointment continues Washington State Employees Credit Union’s (WSECU) longtime connection to the organization.

As Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at WSECU, Julie leads consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending strategy. She also brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services. Today, Julie drives innovation, improves member experience, and manages large-scale lending portfolios.

Beyond her work at WSECU, Julie is active in community and industry organizations. Through that work, she supports efforts that expand access to affordable housing and financial services.

“Business Impact NW’s mission to prepare small businesses, not just fund them, strongly resonates with my professional experience and personal values. Their emphasis on education, readiness, and long-term financial health reflects a thoughtful approach to economic development that creates durable outcomes for borrowers and communities alike. I’m excited to contribute strategic lending expertise, governance perspective, and connections across the financial services ecosystem.”

Derek Brosemann, Member

Derek Brosemann is Senior Vice President and Director of Commercial Banking at Riverview Bank. He leads commercial lending strategy and portfolio management across Oregon and Washington. Derek has extensive experience managing multimillion-dollar portfolios. He is known for driving growth, structuring complex financial solutions, and building strong client relationships.

His connection to Business Impact NW’s work is also personal. He started his own business with support from a similar CDFI.

“I was drawn to Business Impact NW because it pairs flexible financing with practical coaching—supporting entrepreneurs who may not have access to traditional funding. Having started my own business with help from a similar CDFI, I have seen how the right capital at the right time can be catalytic for owners and communities.”

Tina Narron, Member

Tina Narron is Business Impact NW’s first board member from Alaska, bringing important regional perspective to an organization serving entrepreneurs across the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.

As Chief Lending Officer at Credit Union 1 Alaska, she leads consumer, mortgage, and small business lending strategy for a $1.2 billion loan portfolio. In addition, Tina brings more than 30 years of experience in financial services and is recognized for driving portfolio growth, strengthening data-driven decision making, and expanding access to capital.

Previously, Tina served on Business Impact NW’s Women’s Business Center Advisory Board. For her, this board role is a meaningful next step in her support of the organization.

“I have spent years serving on the Business Impact NW Women’s Business Center Advisory Board. This is the next evolution of my support to Business Impact NW.”

With Gratitude to Departing Board Members

As we welcome new board members, we also recognize Lori Wallace and Paul Kirkbride for their service on Business Impact NW’s Board of Directors.

Lori joined the board in 2018 and served as Board Secretary and as a member of the Executive, Strategy, and Mission Committees. Paul joined in 2022 and served as Board Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair. We’re grateful for the time and service Lori and Paul have shared with Business Impact NW. We wish them both the very best in what comes next.
