Business Expert Session: Basics of Hiring Employees with Seattle Office of Labor Standards

This course provides an overview of the most up-to-date information and requirements for what you need to know as a small business owner with employees – or if you will soon be hiring in the City of Seattle. Seattle’s Office of Labor Standards will help guide you through the basics, including providing some additional resources to support compliance with these laws and a Q&A session following the course to help answer your specific questions.

Darren Guyaz is a Senior Business Consultant with the Washington Women’s Business Center at Business Impact NW. He has been with the nonprofit for nearly nine years, assisting clients in a multitude of ways, including helping them navigate Seattle’s Office of Labor Standards requirements. He is a musician, an avid hiker, and loves to travel whenever possible.
