Food Biz Day
The second annual Food Biz Day brings together both aspiring food entrepreneurs and existing food businesses looking to acquire business skills, connect with local resources, and network with industry buyers, lenders and leaders.
During the day, learn from experts and other food professionals about starting, scaling and funding your food business in large group panel discussions, a guest speaker presentation, and self-selected breakout sessions designed to fit your specific needs. This is an opportunity to realize, grow, or improve your skills and your business.
Topics covered to include (tentatively): Financing & Lending, Navigating the Start, Food Truck 101, Market Research, Grocery Store Placement, Labor Standards, and Technology in Food. Opportunities for one-on-one counseling will also be available.
Food Biz Day ends with a celebration and Food Marketplace, open to the public, where local food businesses test and sell their amazing products. This is a great opportunity to network, generate ideas, and support other local entrepreneurs while enjoying delicious local foods.
